Love Church is committed to helping those in our community who may be suffering from a job loss, poor economy, high cost of housing, or any other economic need that prevents them from providing food for their family.

RECOVERY GROUPS

ABORTION RECOVERY

This ministry is focused on demonstrating love, acceptance, and support to women who have had an abortion. We want to be God’s arms of love to help women heal and recover from the spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological effects of abortion. Abortion ends a pregnancy but the effects of grief, guilt, and shame can remain. This confidential Local Community Outreach group is here to help.

Mosaic Virginia, one of Love Church’s outreach ministries, offers ongoing help year round to those suffering from the effects of an abortion.

ADDICTION RECOVERY

Life Recovery | Al Creel | Thursday evenings at 7:30pm
Group is based on the Life Recovery Bible and workbook. Meets weekly for anyone struggling with any type of addiction (alcohol, food, sex, drugs, gaming, pornography, etc.).

Common Solution Recovery | Chuck Fulfer | Friday evenings at 6:00pm
Engaging six-week educational class that defines the problem, the solution, and the action it takes to get unblocked from God and overcome addiction.

Celebrate Recovery | Angela Cushing | Friday evenings at 6:30pm
Christ-centered recovery program that address any hurts, hang-ups & habits that cause damage to your life.
COMMON RECOVERY

Common Recovery is a 501(C3) federally recognized non-profit organization located in Woodbridge, VA. Their mission is to cultivate a community of recovery through recovery services, spiritual growth and peer housing. This is done by God’s love, compassion and mentoring and by raising up effective leaders from the least, the last and the lost. Their program is known for its message of hope and recovery for those who are hopelessly struggling with alcohol and or drug addiction & have found no other way out. Their intention is to pass on to others what was freely given to them. They too were once in a dark pit of misery; desperate for change; but not able to stop! God stepped into their lives and stopped the madness & delivered them from a lifestyle that only promised death. “We were once on a path of destruction ourselves – addicted to alcohol and drugs”. As recovered addicts they understand & can help. It’s about staying clean & sober but that’s not all there’s more– it’s about getting lives back as well!” Common Recovery is committed to passing on this promise of hope and freedom to others!

GRIEFSHARE

The death of a loved one is a difficult journey to walk, but you don’t have to walk the road alone. Come visit our Grief Share support group, build relationships, walk the grief process out with others who are doing the same, and learn how Jesus heals the brokenhearted. You are welcome here! HOPE FOR THE HOMELESS

Manassas Hope For the Homeless demonstrates the Warmth of Christ with tangible demonstrations of love to the Homeless of Manassas during extreme cold. The Manassas Hope for the Homeless is comprised of Christians from over a dozen churches in the greater Manassas area who have come together to provide emergency shelter and food to the homeless when we experience extreme cold weather.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Opportunities to Serve:

Meals – Volunteers are needed to prepare, donate and/or serve meals that will be provided to those in the shelter.

Transportation – Volunteers are needed to help transport individuals from their locations around Manassas to the shelter.

Supervising/Mentoring – Volunteers are needed to help supervise shelter activities, games, and lead Bible studies. These are done in shifts of at least four (4) people when the shelter is open.

Donations needed are as follows: bug repellents, Water, Socks, boots, shoes, men’s underwear large & Xlarge, Batteries triple A, double A and Ds.All donation items are relevant and collected throughout the entire year and will be distributed at the appropriate seasonal times. PWC JAIL MINISTRY

Jail ministry is an intensive commitment to seeing change and the rebuilding of a person’s spiritual journey through weekly teaching and sharing the love of Christ. Becoming a part of this team can take up to 3 months and is open to those who are truly committed to this process. Preliminary security assessments must take place and training is scheduled through the Community Outreach Director: Janine Olkowski.

How you can help
Opportunities to serve:
- Financial donations to Good News Ministry, which is a federally recognized 501 (C3) non-profit organization.
- Both male & female Bible Study teachers and/or assistants in the WIND (Women In A New Direction) and MIND (Men In A New Direction)

MIGHTY OAKS

The mission of Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs is to reach the brokenhearted with a specific calling to assist our nation’s military Warriors and families to find a new life purpose through a hope in Christ after enduring hardship through their service to America. Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs works to restore the broken families of our nation’s warriors by building the men that lead them, equipping their spouses to deal with the unique challenges of the military wife and encouraging their children. Those not yet leading a family of their own can experience the healing that will allow them to begin those relationships whole. This is accomplished by having an encounter with Christ that allows each person to live within their God-given design.

OUR valor OUTPOSTS

Our VALOR ministry offers weekly Outposts that are open to local Warriors and Mighty Oaks Warrior Alumni for support, healing, and camaraderie. These meetings aim to support each other as the members continue to grow and face challenges pre or post programs and our program aftercare and accountability.

VALOR Outposts are run by Mighty Oaks Program Instructors and are in a strategic partnership with partner churches for support and quality supervision. It is at these weekly meetings where our commitment to “No Man Fights Alone” becomes reality, and the purposeful life is practiced. What Happens in a Meeting?

Each weekly meeting is guided by one of our Outpost Leaders, who has received Mighty Oaks Program Instructor training. Attendees learn from other Warriors’ strategies and successes in combatting the challenges of PTS, combat trauma and daily challenges utilizing the program curriculum and group interaction. Warriors discuss resources and support each other during their various journeys of recovery. Monthly recreational activities with the Warriors are common at most outposts.
Who May Attend?

If you are a current member of the military or a veteran who struggles from reintegration, PTS or combat trauma and you are interested in building a life of strength, courage and purpose you are welcome to attend. You don’t need to RSVP or bring anything. All of our program alumni are also encouraged to participate, not just in order to connect with others but also so that they may inspire and lead.

ONE CHILD

OneChild is a community of Child Champions that serve children in poverty so they can discover hope and reach their God-given potential. OneChild sees a world where every child in poverty has a champion – someone who loves them and supports them as they overcome adversity. Someone who believes in them, listens to them and challenges them to persevere. We partner with OneChild to help make this vision a reality for children at the Mushanje Hope Center in Uganda. We don’t just want to change lives—we want to change generations! Let’s do this!
