Have you heard the news? Our church is officially under contract on 17.22 acres in Gainesville! We are entering into the most exciting time in the history of our church as we unite to build a legacy. Our Manassas and Warrenton locations will unite together in Gainesville starting August 8th, as we enter the multi-phased process of developing and building this incredible building.

What led us here…

22 years ago this church was launched with a vision to have a spirit-filled, outreach-minded, Bible-believing church that would reach the region with the Gospel. Over the past 22 years, we have seen this vision come to pass and God has far exceeded our expectations. Through the years, we have held Sunday services in schools, storefronts, and warehouses. In 2011, after being “portable” for over a decade, we secured a long-term lease for our Manassas location, which served as a permanent location for the last 10 years. In 2015, we acquired (and now own) our Winchester location with 30 acres right off Route 81 in Stephens City. Then, in 2016, we launched the Warrenton location in Fauquier High School. Over the past 2 to 3 years, with our Manassas location’s lease coming to a close and our Warrenton location needing a permanent facility, we have been praying and preparing for what would be the next steps for both our Manassas and Warrenton locations. After many closed doors, God opened a bigger door than we could have ever imagined. In June, we signed a contract on 17.22 acres on Route 29, across from Wegmans, and just 5 minutes off I-66! This location offers us the opportunity to unite our Manassas and Warrenton locations TOGETHER in order to build a facility that will serve the entire region, including our church family from Manassas, Warrenton, Gainesville, and surrounding areas!

What this means for us now…

During this multi-phased building process, we will have permanent offices in Gainesville to facilitate all mid-week activities from Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, we will meet in Patriot High School for Sunday services and Sunday night events. Meanwhile, we also have our Winchester location to utilize for special events and conferences. This is a semi-portable model that provides the stability and security of permanent space throughout the week, yet providing the massive cost-saving strategy of renting the school auditorium to facilitate the big Sunday services. As you heard in our members meeting and Vision nights, the operating margin created with this model allows us to enter into this season with strength and help fund the cost of the project out of our general fund, as well as the fundraising that will be done through our once a year offering and our Legacy Builders ministry.

How you can help…

1. Pray

Pray that God would be glorified throughout this entire process! Pray for the permitting process and favor at every step of this building process. Pray for the funds to be raised. Pray for lives to be changed, not only after the building is built, but as we minister to people during this season as well.

2. Participate

Make sure to be present and active at Sunday services each week! Make it a priority for you and your family/friends to start every week by being in church on Sunday! We need you and this church is better when you’re involved! We grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus in the context of community! Determine to be a giver! Obey God with your tithe and then stir up generosity.

3. Pass it on

Tell others about what is happening and invite them along on this journey! Being a part of a project like this from the early stages is special. Being able to say “I was there as this was being built” is significant! So invite people to come to church and be a part of this journey NOW! Don’t wait until the building is built. Remember, the church is not a building anyway; it’s a community. And this community can help transform someone’s life, but you need to invite them for that to happen.
